Our returns policy, which is in addition to your statutory rights, entitles you to a refund or exchange for an item bought with a valid receipt or invoice subject to the terms set out below, excluding certain items or bespoke orders. A restocking charge of 15% will apply. Items sought to be returned outside of these terms are solely accepted at our discretion which must be approved in writing prior to dispatch.

Product Return General Information

Business Customers
Any boat, engine or other item purchased by a customer whose transaction with Grosvenor Yachts Ltd is conducted in the course of or for the purpose of the customer’s business shall not be eligible for return unless faulty. Boats, engines and other items sought to be returned outside of these terms are solely accepted at our discretion which must be approved in writing prior to acceptance.

Non-stock Boats
All non-stock boats ordered by customers are bespoke orders and are not returnable unless faulty. Boats sought to be returned outside of these terms are solely accepted at our discretion which must be approved in writing prior to acceptance.

Stock Boats
All stock boats may be returned for up to 14 days from the date of completing the sale, so long as the boat is unused in any way and no passage has been undertaken, unless faulty. The item must be completely unused, in resalable condition, in original undamaged packaging (if applicable), and complete with all ancillary equipment, tags and manuals. Make sure to follow all the directions in the Return Process outlined below. Any item returned to us that does not meet these requirements will be refused by us and returned to you at your expense. Boats sought to be returned outside of these terms are solely accepted at our discretion which must be approved in writing prior to acceptance.

Non-stock Engines
All non-stock engines ordered by customers are bespoke orders and are not returnable unless faulty. Engines sought to be returned outside of these terms are solely accepted at our discretion which must be approved in writing prior to acceptance.

Stock Engines
All engines may be returned for up to 14 days from the date of completing the sale, so long as the engine is unused in any way and has not had any customer fluids applied, unless faulty. The item must be completely unused, in resalable condition, in original undamaged packaging (if applicable), and complete with all ancillary equipment, tags and manuals. Make sure to follow all the directions in the Return Process outlined below. Any item returned to us that does not meet these requirements will be refused by us and returned to you at your expense. Engines sought to be returned outside of these terms are solely accepted at our discretion which must be approved in writing prior to acceptance.

Non-Boat and Engine Supplies
Sale, close-out, discontinued, vintage, bespoke orders, certified safety items and goods with a specific and known diminishing operational lifespan are sold as is and are not able to be cancelled, returned or exchanged unless faulty. Any other item may be returned for up to 14 days from the date of receipt, so long as the item is unused in any way, unless faulty. The item must be completely unused, in resalable condition, in original undamaged packaging, and complete with all ancillary equipment, tags and manuals. Make sure to follow all the directions in the Return Process outlined below. Any item returned to us that does not meet these requirements will be refused by us and returned to you at your expense. Items sought to be returned outside of these terms are solely accepted at our discretion which must be approved in writing prior to acceptance.

Grosvenor Yachts Ltd is not responsible or liable for any direct, indirect or consequential cost or loss (all three of which terms include, without limitation, pure economic loss, loss of profits, loss of business, depletion of goodwill, loss of enjoyment, loss of utility and similar loss), costs, damages, charges or expenses caused directly or indirectly by any delay in the delivery of the goods (even if caused by the Company’s negligence), nor shall any delay entitle the customer to terminate or rescind the contract, unless such delay exceeds 180 days and the cause of such delay is due to the Company’s wilful acts or omissions.

Be sure to return your return via an insured carrier. Grosvenor Yachts Ltd is not responsible for lost returns.

Return Process

  1. Read the guidelines outlined on this page to make sure your return meets the required conditions.
  2. Call customer support, or email aftersalessupport@grosvenorvandervalk.com for a return authorisation number. Note: Return authorisation numbers are valid for 10 days only. Items received after 10 days may be refused.
  3. Properly package the item, taking care to include all of its tags, bags, and manuals. Please be sure not to write on or damage the manufacturer’s packaging material as this can make an item not returnable.
  4. Be sure to clearly mark the outside of the package with the return authorisation number our customer support team gave you. Ship your package in a sturdy shipping box. Do not use the manufacturer box as the shipping box.
  5. Ship the package to the address our customer support representative will provide to you. For best results, use a reputable carrier and insure the package for its full value.
  6. Once we receive your package, we will inspect your returned items to ensure they meet the outlined guidelines. If the item and packaging are in resalable condition, we will process your refund or exchange according to this policy.

Restocking Fee

A 15% restocking fee will apply to all returns, excluding errors on our part.

Return Costs including Shipping

Exceptions

Damaged or Incorrect Shipments

Damaged packages are the responsibility of the delivering carrier. If you receive a damaged package, save the box and all packaging material and then contact us right away. Damaged shipments and packing errors must be reported to us within 48 hours of receiving. Contact customer support by phone or email.

Defective Products & Product Warranties

If you receive an item that you consider defective, please contact us immediately as defective merchandise must be reported to us within 48 hours of receiving the item. Contact customer support by phone or email.

As a seller of a wide range of boats, engines and equipment, we purchase from a number of reputable suppliers and manufacturers. Most of these suppliers and manufacturers have a warranty for their product line, a copy of which is available upon request. We do not offer or honour warranties, expressed or implied, other than what is offered for that item by the supplier or manufacturer. If you have purchased a supplementary warranty this is a direct arrangement with the warranty provider and is not offered expressly or by implication by Grosvenor Yachts Ltd. Grosvenor Yachts Ltd strictly does not assume responsibility or liability for the fitness of any item for any purpose, workmanship of the supplier or manufacturer or for the improper use of products.

As a courtesy to our customers, we may accept for return on behalf of a supplier or manufacturer any products sold by our company that may appear or are alleged to be defective. Acceptance of any such products by Grosvenor Yachts Ltd does not constitute an admission of liability nor validity to a claim but is done solely to assist customer and manufacturer. Products that are accepted under the above conditions are either returned to the supplier or manufacturer or held for their agent to inspect for warranty consideration. The decision regarding any actual or alleged defect is solely at the supplier’s or manufacturer’s discretion.

Sale Items

Refunds

Refunds once agreed will be credited in the same manner the original payment was received.

  • Be sure to send your return via an insured carrier. Grosvenor Yachts Ltd. is not responsible for lost returns.
  • Please allow three (3) business days for a refund to be processed following Grosvenor Yachts Ltd’s written acceptance of agreeing to a refund.
  • If you do not receive credit for your return within the time frame shown above, please trace your return shipment using the tracking number provided to you by your carrier when you shipped the item. If the tracking information indicates that Grosvenor Yachts Ltd has received the item, please notify aftersalessupport@grosvenorvandervalk.com as soon as possible. Be sure to include your original order number in your message.

Cancelling an Order

We understand certain situations may arise where an order or part of an order may need to be cancelled. Grosvenor Yachts Ltd works extremely hard to fill orders in the shortest amount of time possible. Therefore, we ask that you notify us as soon as possible of your cancellation request by sending an email to aftersalessupport@grosvenorvandervalk.com.

We work hard to accommodate all customer needs. However, all orders cancelled will be subject to a 15% cancellation or restocking fee based on the specific items ordered. This fee is based on 15% of the item’s recommended retail value.
